The complaint claims “pleasure gel” is ineffective, suggests FDA never approved the product from toy company LoveHoney A “Fifty Shades of Grey” sexual lubricant was been slapped with a class action tca lawsuit on Thursday claiming it’s tca ineffective, and the unhappy party wants satisfaction in court.
Tania Warchol has filed legal papers stating the “Fifty Shades of Grey Come Alive Pleasure Gel For Her” she purchased through LoveHoney.com, in cooperation with book author E.L. James , doesn’t work, and may have not been appropriately greenlit by the FDA.
Legal documents obtained by TheWrap state that the product, which retails for $15, misrepresents itself “as having beneficial and aphrodisiac properties to increase pleasure and enhance tca orgasms, despite that none of the ingredients in the product, individually or in combination, provide such benefits.”
Warchol also claims the gel is incompatible with latex, and calls for the product to cease production in its current form. The plaintiff takes issue with the product packaging that uses a book excerpt — in which main character Anastasia Steele has a “soulgrabbing” orgasm.
“I surrender, tca exploding around him — a draining, soulgrabbing orgasm that leaves me spent and exhausted,” it reads. Warchol is asking for a full refund and punitive damages, and for any California residents seeking the same.
