Zoom debit and credit cards are one of the most dynamically developing banking products in Bulgaria. Representatives of the higher-end credit cards - "Diners", "American Express" are among the less popular brands. Most likely this is due to their lower familiarity and higher requirements for income by the card issuers. Credit card - Emergency fact that the credit card has not entered the daily life of Bulgarians is confirmed by the reasons why people want to use this product. More than a third of using or intending to use the credit card indicated that they used it only in emergencies and large purchases. More frequent use (for products purchased and used more often, and for daily purchases) is mentioned by a significantly lower share of people, but online purchases are identified by only 4% of current and future users credit cards. Anyway, credit cards are one of banking products with great potential for development in Bulgaria. On the one hand, more outlets allow for payment by credit card on the other - banks actively offer them. It is understood that they could still reach the spread of the debit card, given that they are designed to more closely user group - people with higher incomes.
