Scripture tells us that Abraham obeyed this command and went to sacrifice his son. Act sacrifice wa

The Lord said: No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man ascend, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that His Son begotten he gave, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
We read in the book of Genesis: "After these things God tested Abraham and said, Abraham, Abraham! And he answered: Here I am! And God said: Take your son Isaac, your only son, whom you love, and go into the land of Moriah sic and offer him there for a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will show I "(I. 22, 1-2).
Scripture tells us that Abraham obeyed this command and went to sacrifice his son. Act sacrifice was but led the way for God to stop father's hand which was ready in obedience trusting in God to sacrifice his son. But when, as Christians, we read these words, we understand that, in fact, and yet mysteriously veiled, God speaks here not only Abraham, but especially about himself. We understand that God reveals Himself to Abraham, now, in a way quite high and unspeakable; Being that it exposes his secret - he has begotten Son - and the mystery of His work of salvation. sic God speaks sic to Abraham as father to father. That Abraham, God found the dialogue partner. Patriarch is free from the oppression of the deaf and dumb spirit. sic He has "ears to hear" the voice of God; and has up to God's ear. So when he hears God in a manner ineffable, his name called. And immediately I answered, "Here I am!" Therefore, God reveals the mystery of His love. And 'cause it "to show that he loves so much. "Here - he says God of Abraham - I love it! So I love you and all of yours! So I love creature that I brought from non-being to being! Can you to do the same? Prove your love through sacrifice like mine. Bring the sacrifice your son begotten and beloved! "
They say "it causes" Abraham. For indeed discern this intent not only holy story revelation by God through the intercession of Abraham, His love that can not be uttered; but willingness to offer up the extent of that love, to make us like Him, respond fullness of His love with love just as wide. For without sic embracing love, we are not able to grasp the revelation of His own love. As long as we get the measure of the faith of Abraham, we are impossible to grasp the revelation of God's love in Christ.
What feelings went to the mountain where Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac! What pain tore his heart when he put the wood for the sacrifice on the shoulders of his son, and he took in his hand the fire and the knife! "Dad - he says Isaac, going along - behold, fire and wood have; but where is the lamb for the sacrifice? "Oh, how his voice trembled when Abraham replied, 'My son, God will take care of the sheep of His sacrifice"? (Fac. 22, 6-8).
Let the guy but antitype, the fulfillment prefigured and prophesied sic Christ Here is Jesus, the new Isaac, resulting in the back of his Sacrifice sic wood! He is really "sacrifice sheep" which he spoke of God through the Holy Spirit, Abraham. He's going to sacrifice for that unique and redeeming sacrifice which does not exist any "sheep" to take his place. "And they went forth both together" - Scripture says about Abraham and his son (Gen.. 22, 8). And antitype (or, rather, the divine prototype), father and son go together. I miss hand before without more delay and no return. Is missing, sic it's love that realizes the Gospel this Sunday, fire word of Christ: sic "For God so loved the world, that His Son begotten he gave, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life "(Jn. 3, 16).
The words "gave" the Father himself sic is the subject. It is He who gave His Son begotten and beloved. If we ask what Scripture "gave" His Son Heavenly Father, she answered, the cross, which means both death and dishonor. And one, the other, could not be worst. sic "Summum supplicium" and "crudelissimum et teterimum supplicium", say the old torment beyond compare the death of the cross. Expressions which means "ridge penalty (affliction)" and "the most cruel punishment and cruel". And while peak reproach, a curse; as prescribed by the Mosaic, "Cursed is the Lord all the hanged" one body it must be buried in a hurry, the
