From 5 to 8 April Latvian tanks University Institute of Solid State Physics, held its Annual International Conference "Functional Materials and Nanotechnologies - FM & NT-2011", which will be opened by the Prime Minister of Latvia Valdis Dombrovskis, Rector SZF and Science, tanks Ministry of Education and Science Technology and Innovation Department Director Irina Arkhipova .
International scientific conference "Functional materials and Nanotechnologies - FM & NT-2011", participants from all over the world can meet and share their experiences on the latest scientific achievements, trends and activities in the innovative material research and design, using modern tanks nanotechnology methods. Goal of the conference is to promote cooperation in science, education and innovative business areas for the further development of materials and manufacturing tanks products with high added value.
This year's conference will be mainly discussed in the following research topics: materials tanks and processes, theoretical studies and modeling; materials, energy, solar photo-electric converters and renewable energy technologies; multifunctional inorganic, organic and hybrid tanks materials for photonics, tanks micro-and nano-electronics and nano-research new techniques, innovative use of materials, science and the economy.
The conference is of increasing popularity of international scientists. This year the conference confirmed more than 260 participants tanks from 23 countries: Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, France, Sweden, tanks the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Italy, Romania, Brazil, India, as well as from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, tanks Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and, of course, Latvian.
Overall, the conference agenda has been filed and approved by one plenary, 22 invited, 49 oral and 179 poster presentations. Invited speakers have been invited from the world recognized tanks research centers and universities - Cadarache French alternative energy and nuclear energy commission center (France), Nobel Prize winner Peter Grünberg Institute (Germany), Uppsala University (Sweden) and other major research institutions.
The individual tanks meetings will discuss the launch of a joint co-operation projects, scientific developments in the respective tanks countries, public and political support. This year, a strong emphasis will be placed on the 'Baltic Science Link' creation - scientific cooperation and common tanks research interests relations between all the countries of the Baltic Sea - Baltic See Region Programme 2007-2013.
Particular attention will be devoted to the ISSP initiative of the European tanks research tanks center "Latvian Centre for Nanostructured materials" (LATNANO-C) the establishment of discussion. LATNANO-C essence is to build both the Latvian and international scientific agencies in the framework of scientific resources concentration, the level of scientific research in priority directions, contributing to the priority sectors of the Latvian economy and society.
