I bought a small Arduino analysis Uno on my wanderings around the United States this summer. After gathering dust on my desk for months, I finally decided to do something about it. Since I've been lying at home sick and barely able to do a thing, I decided to take this opportunity to interfere only in this Apparat.
I have never tolerated IDE guy attached Arduino, apart how ugly it is then I think he simply tedious to apply. However, I have Tweak only with Code :: Blocks (each thought using two colons out between!?) And although it okay IDE, or at least better at than one that Arduino offers.
I went on the stump and explored all the hooks and nucleotide lýðnetsins in search analysis of a suitable IDE, and if possible to take advantage of Code :: Blocks in case, and sure enough, it is possible! Therefore, I thought I'd create a little tutorial on Icelandic analysis how should this gadget. Mostly for myself, in case I need to look at this again, this is stored in the portal (assuming that the database does not mess again). This tutorial is based on Ubuntu Linux and is carried upwards (ok ok, mainly translation) tutorial is on Arduino Dev Site fine. See here.
The packages needed: Code :: Blocks G+ + (C + +) GCC AVR (C / C + + compiler (compile) for AVR) GCC C library (kóðasafn?) For AVR AVRDUDE (The guy who tails HEX code to the Arduino and vica versa) CuteCom ( Serial Terminal program, to monitor serial communication)
If this succeeds smoothly, you can wind up more skemmtilegheit. To Code :: Blocks can be used any need to install some extra files. If the code blocks have not already analysis created a directory under / home / username then do it.
/ / Arduino edit: þittnafnhértilminnis Register Wizard (wizProject, _T ("Arduino"), _T ("Arduino Project"), _T ("Embedded Systems"));
Then we got a project that works, almost. analysis Here we see the Workspace, under the hírarkía of all kinds of stuff. The document that we are most interested in, to begin with, is 'sketch.cpp'. It really is 'Blink' from traditional Arduino IDE guy and fine to use for testing.
Top Reviews in the menu tab named 'tools' and under it should bring all kinds of options. If everything has gone up in the installation should be shown the following options: analysis Upload Serial Terminal USB (flash) USB Upload (EEPROM) USBASP Upload Configure Tools ...
There need to be installed / dev/ttyACM0 (or equivalent for Arduino you are using). Of course you also have to choose the correct Arduino, in this case I am using Arduino Uno. Arduino appears that I think usually with / dev/ttyACM0 or / dev/ttyUSB0 but of course it depends on the operating systems.
Should then be / dev/ttyACM0 offer screen or ACM with other end number. Would be nice to figure out what that nóðunúmer the Arduino comes in Ubuntu. (In Ubuntu 4.10 LTS please remind me that it was / dev / ttyUSBx)
Then it should be possible to move to interfere. There is one drawback to this setup, that every time has been a new "project" needs to be put into the Arduino board, nóðunúmerið. So that not too bad but it would be nice to find a more enduring solution. Hopefully this will be useful more than me. :)
